Yesterday night I was craving a different salad… So when I went to the grocery store and saw those beautiful D’Anjou pears I felt that I should buy them to make a pear salad. It’s very simple to make and as I have said in the past, always interchangeable. You can remove or add any components you’d like. The ingredients that I used were:
Greens (baby green and red butter)
D’Anjou pears (peel them and squeeze a bit of lemon juice to prevent them from darkening)
For the dressing I did a Honey Mustard variation:
1 Tbsp. Honey
1 Tbsp. Mustard
2 Tbsps. of Olive Oil
Salt to Taste
Whisk all the dressing components together.
When it’s time to assemble the salad, start with the greens, put some pear wedges, break some walnuts and scatter on top, crumble the Blue Cheese and finish with a drizzle of the Honey Mustard dressing.
